Texas Banding and Photos

The Hummer/Bird Study Group does bird banding at several locations in Texas. In most years we do banding studies and research near Christoval (south of San Angelo) at the Hummer House of Dan Brown, south of Sheffield (private ranch), private studies near Dolan Falls on the Devil's River and public banding demonstrations of migrating hummingbirds as part of the Hummer/Bird Celebration in the Rockport/Fulton area. Recently, we have been conducting public hummingbird banding demonstrations as a part of the Nature Quest Festival in Concan, Texas in April.

The photos shown here on our web site represent a sampling of the great beauty and diversity of birdlife in the wonderful state of Texas. This site will be updated from time to time as we show new photos of bird species that we encounter.
